About StarPep Web

StarPepDB Web has been developed to extend the reach of the 40 bioactive peptide data sources included in the original StarPepDB and make them accessible to a wider audience. This web-based platform provides a user-friendly interface for managing bioactive and antimicrobial peptide data. It integrates sequences with associated metadata - such as sequence length, bioactivity, physicochemical properties, origin, putative targets, PubMed references and 3D structures - into an intuitive graph-based framework.

With StarPepDB Web, users can extract specific peptide subsets based on metadata, eliminate redundancy, and perform single or multi-query searches. The platform also provides visualisation tools to explore metadata distributions. In addition, users can download both FASTA files and metadata, ensuring easy access to the curated data for further analysis. StarPepDB Web is designed to streamline research and promote discovery in the field of bioactive peptide research.
